Mobile-Friendly Website is not an option but a business must.

Mobile is changing the world and Google is leading the charge with “Google Mobile-First Indexing starting on July 1st, 2019; mobile-first will be the default for all new web domains. That means that when a new website is registered it will be crawled by Google’s smartphone Googlebot, and its mobile-friendly content will be used to index its pages, as well as to understand the site’s structured data and to show snippets from the site in Google’s search results, when relevant.

Mobile-first indexing isn’t the only way that Google has begun catering to the larger mobile majority. A few year back, Google also began to boost the rank of mobile-friendly webpages in search. In 2018 Google also added a signal that uses page speed to help determine a page’s mobile search ranking. Starting in July 2018, slow-loading content became downranked.

Today, everyone has smartphones with them, constantly communicating and looking for information. In many countries, the number of smartphones has surpassed the number of personal computers; having a mobile-friendly website has become a critical part of having an online presence.

If you haven’t made your website mobile-friendly, you should. The majority of users coming to your site are likely to be using a mobile device.

“Businesses with slow mobile sites may see a decrease in mobile organic rankings on Google,” said Tony Palazzo, vice president of operations and marketing of Logical Position. “Speed has always been a factor of ranking, but previously it was based on your desktop version of your site; now it’s going to be looking at your mobile site load speed.”
